A Bit About Me

Hello, I’m Cathy!  I’m a therapist who loves helping kids, teens, families, and adults discover the strengths they didn’t realize they already had...sometimes hidden, sometimes loud, always worth celebrating. Think of our work together as a collaborative treasure hunt: we explore your resilience, inner resources, and wisdom, toward what feels lighter, steadier, and more connected.

Whether you’re navigating big feelings, life transitions, parenting stress, trauma, or the unique experiences within the adoption constellation, I’m here to explore it all with you  through movement, play, and brave, curious conversations in a way that feels warm, collaborative, and deeply human.

My work is guided by the belief that meaningful change grows through safe, supportive relationships. In sessions, you might find us talking or drawing, or maybe we'll be stretching, stomping, breathing, or using playful strategies that help bodies and brains work together. I use play-based person‑centered interventions supported by relational neurobiology to help you understand your emotions, strengthen connection, and find your resilience. I’m especially passionate about family work—helping caregivers and kids co‑create rhythms of regulation, communication, and joy.

Most importantly, therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, your child, or your family. It’s about understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, celebrating what’s already strong, and building meaningful change that feels doable and authentic. Together, we’ll explore what you need, what feels supportive, and how to create a path forward that honors your story, your relationships, and your capacity to grow.
